I read some things today that I pass to you:

“Return the man’s wife, for he is a prophet, so that he will pray for you, and you shall live…Then Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech, and also healed his wife and female slaves…For the LORD had closed all the wombs…” Gen 20:7, 17-18

Notice the order of events: God said he was going to heal Abimelech’s household, but needed the conduit of a praying Abraham to do so. He wouldn’t release his judgment until his prophet prayed.

Similarly:
“Pharaoh…said, ‘Plead with the LORD to take away the frogs…’ …Moses cried to the LORD about the frogs…And the LORD did according to the word of Moses.” (Ex 8:8-13).

Notice again that the LORD acted in mercy to relinquish his judgment, but only in response to Moses praying. He, “did according to the word of Moses,” (Ex 8:13). He didn’t act until his servant prayed, and then he did according to what Moses prayed.

Consider that for a moment. What judgments might be over us and the land around us? And even more, what is He willing to completely change if only He could find His people praying for it?!

“If you abide in Me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” John 15:7
