PROPHECIES OF GOD’S KINGDOM:


NATURE OF GOD’S KINGDOM

  • Originates from God (Dan. 2:44)
  • Heavenly nature (Dan. 2:45 – “cut out of the mountain without hands”)
  • Indestructible and eternal (Dan. 2:34,44; 7:14)
  • Grows (Dan. 2:35)

FORMATION OF GOD’S KINGDOM

  • Begins with a stone in the mountains (Dan. 2:34)
    • Given to Son of Man on clouds (Dan. 7:13-14)
  • Grows into a mountain (Dan. 2:35)
    • God’s saints receive Kingdom forever (7:18)
      • Saints possess Kingdom after little horn is destroyed (7:22,27)
      • Kingdom will not be left to others (2:44)

FUNCTION OF GOD’S KINGDOM

  • Filling earth (2:35)
  • God’s physical Kingdom operates by Heaven (7:9-10)
  • Judges the nations, burns those outside Kingdom (7:10-11,26)
    • Strikes the feet of iron and clay (2:34)
      • Breaks iron and clay to pieces (2:34)
      • Completely destroys all kingdoms of the earth (2:35,44)
  • Kingdom continues growth after world empires destroyed (2:35; 7:22)

THE FULFILLMENT:


NATURE OF GOD’S KINGDOM

  • Originates from God (Luke 22:29)
  • Heavenly nature (John 3; 18:36; Rom. 14:17)
  • Indestructible and eternal (Luke 1:31-33)
  • Grows (Matt. 13:31-33)

  • Begins with a stone in the mountains (Matt. 21:44; John 3:13)
    • Given to Son of Man on clouds (Matt. 26:64; Acts 1:9-11; Rev. 1:7)
  • Grows into a mountain (Heb. 12:22-24)
    • God’s saints receive Kingdom forever (Rev. 22:3-5)
      • Saints possess Kingdom after little horn is destroyed (Matt. 25:31-34; Rev. 20:10ff.)
      • Kingdom will not be left to others (Mt. 21:43-44)
