| 8:11-15 | God said to Isaiah: “Do not call conspiracy what this people calls conspiracy. Do not fear what they fear. Fear and dread God alone. He will be an immovable rock– you can have Him as your shelter or be destroyed by Him if you choose shelter in something else.” |
| 8:16-22 | Isaiah says: “Hold this word. I will wait for God, though He hides from His people. I and my children are signs to the people. Do not inquire of false prophets. Inquire only of God. All who speak contrary to God’s words have no light and should not be heeded. People who reject God will go hungry, then will become enraged against God. They will look for hope in heaven and earth, but find none. They will be in utter darkness.” |
