- God gives strength to people against their enemies
- Matt. 21:15-16
- V. 16 – Jesus quotes Psalm 8:2, but says “Thou hast prepared praise for Thyself”, instead of “Thou has established strength”

- Unclean spirits also operate through the mouth
- Praise that silences Satan comes out of the mouths of God’s people
- side that uses its mouth most effectively will win this spiritual war
- “frogs” – only make noise at night; ceaseless, repetitive croaking
- Gift of tongues
- Psalm 149:6-9
- V. 6 – praise accompanied by double-edged sword (Heb. 4:12)
- V. 8 – kings and nobles = Satan’s princes and kings (Eph. 6:12)?
- V. 9 – “carry out sentence written against them” = administer God’s revealed judgment
- 1 Cor. 6:2-3 – Christians have authority (through God’s word and praise) to administer God’s judgment on His enemies (even angels)
- Colossians 2:15
- Psalm 51:15 – like infants
